Time Lord Fest Tampa

Time Lord Fest is a mini-science fiction and literature convention focusing primarily on Doctor Who and the writings of independent authors. It will be held at The Empress Tea Room & Bistro in Tampa, Florida…where you can meet fellow Whovians, sip some tea or have a beer, and share an evening with friends! The event is only $8.
So come out and have a drink with friends of the last son of Gallifrey!

Just Confirmed! We will have a life sized, to scale TARDIS at the event for photo opportunities, so remember to come out and cosplay!

Time Lord Fest – Tampa is being held at The Empress Tea Room on North Dale Marbry. The spacious Empress Tea Room offers elegant dining with a fine Victorian atmosphere, most appropriate for a Whovian environment. Debbie Viguié – the New York Times Bestselling author of over a dozen novels. Tracy A. Akers is the award-winning author of the Souls of Aredyrah fantasy series for young adults. She grew up in Arlington, Texas, but currently makes her home in the rolling hills of Pasco County, Florida. Ms. Akers has been a guest author at major book events, writers’ conferences, and sci-fi/fantasy conventions, and was on the steering committee for Celebration of the Story, a literary event held at Saint Leo University. She was acknowledged for her contribution YA literature by the Governor of Florida during the 2008 Florida Heritage Month Awards Ceremony, and her books have been included on the Florida Department of Education’s “Just Read Families” Recommended Summer Reading Lists. The Souls of Aredyrah is Ms. Akers’ first series of novels for young adults.

Fallyn Angel: An avid costumer of over ten years, she grew up watching Classic Doctor Who on PBS alongside her father. Doctor Who fan aside, Fallyn has been active within the convention communty for the last seven years, hosting panels and even standing room only events. She has also written several fandom based articles for a variety of blogs over the last several years.


Ken Spivey – A Doctor Who aficionado, Ken has appeared at numerous Doctor Who conventions as a panelist. In addition, he co-runs “The Ken Spivey Band,” a Celtic Doctor Who Rock band who has performed at the Bay Area Renascence Festival, DragonCon 2011, TimeGate, and The Sarasota Medieval Faire. In addition, Ken is also the driving force behind the Time Lord Fest events.


John Reid Adams: In the world of Doctor Who Fandom Adams stands in a particular minority. He was amongst the few and the proud who became a fan after viewing the TV movie back in 1996. From that point forward, wherever the TARDIS went so did he. Adams is an award winning actor and writer. Gracing many stages throughout Central and South Florida. As a writer Adams has earned some notoriety writing fandom based articles online. However his most celebrated contribution to Doctor Who Fandom is his independent production “Doctor Who: A Survivor’s Triangle.” Which has been screened at Gallifrey One, and on Dragon*Con TV. Amber Sweet – Her recent splash in the cosplay world has given her near overnight fame. Amber’s unique sense of style, remarkable personality, stunning cosplay skills, and natural charm and beauty have made her household name in the cosplay world. She will co-judge the Grand Costume Contest.


Allison Farrell is a student at University of Florida in Gainesville. She has been deeply involved in the world of theatre and film from a very young age, and is thrilled to be involved in a Doctor Who fan series. Along with a deep-burning passion for the Doctor and all things Who, Allison is known for her prop designs and screenwriting. She is beyond thrilled to be a part of this amazing convention, and hopes to share her passions with all of you.


Nolan Moon is currently a Film Student at Full Sail University in Winter Park Florida. A Doctor Who fan in October of 2010, Nolan has come to love the show as much as the next whovian. He has worked on Music videos and other productions while attending Full Sail, Including work with ESPN. He is the founder of “Lightning Films”, which won 2nd place in the 2004 Maine State Voting PSA video contest. He is currently working on a Doctor Who Fan Series with Allison Farrell, which will premiere in 2012. He is excited to talk to you about his knowledge of the Doctor Who universe and experience.

Sam Falco -  a writer, director, and actor. He has always been a devoted fan of science fiction, and a Doctor Who addict. He achieved a small following for his webseries, “The Director.” He is currently filming the second season of a Ghostbusters/Law and Order parody series called Ghosts and Busters: Supernatural Victims Unit. He is excited to be a part of this convention, and hopes you enjoy it.


Amy Clanton, Ph.D. – Instructor in the English Department at the University of South Florida, Amy specializes in pagan themes in Romantic and Modern period poets. Amy is also an avid fan of Doctor Who and a veteran of cosplay. She will be a guest panelist as well as co-judge of the Grand Costume Contest.

Scott Viguié – holds two doctorate degrees and is an archaeologist and an attorney who has done extensive research on myths and their impact on modern archaeology and modern storytelling. He wrote his dissertation on the importance of using and understanding mythology in archaeological research and analysis. He has done extensive writing in both his chosen fields. When he’s not rigorously pursuing the truth, he enjoys watching and reading science fiction and fantasy. He appreciates the history and mythology woven together in the Doctor Who and Stargate shows. Scott is also one of the producers of the Articles of the Shadow Proclamation, a Doctor Who podcast which can be downloaded on iTunes or fromwww.shadowproclamation.net. When Scott is not busy with his work he can be found enjoying theme parks with his wife, Debbie, being a technical adviser for her books, or working on his own book examining world-wide laws and regulations governing both professional and amateur archaeology.

Take I-4 west to its end at I-275 Interchange in Tampa. Take I-275 north 7.3 miles to Exit 52, Fletcher Ave. Turn left (west) onto Fletcher. Travel west on Fletcher 3.2 miles to Dale Mabry Hwy. Turn left (south) onto Dale Mabry approx. 425 ft. to entrance to Carrollwood Village Shoppes. Turn right into entrance then make 1st right to 1st row of stores. Turn left and proceed to 6th store on right, which is Empress. It is next door to Side Splitters Comedy Club.

FROM WEST (St. Pete, S. Pinellas, etc.)

After crossing Howard Franklin bridge into Tampa on I-275, continue north through the interchange in Tampa and continue on I-275 N. 7.3 miles to Exit 52, Fletcher Ave. Turn left (west) onto Fletcher. Travel west on Fletcher 3.2 miles to Dale Mabry Hwy. Turn left (south) onto Dale Mabry approx. 425 ft. to entrance to Carrollwood Village Shoppes.
